So was he perhaps being more foolish this time? Perhaps, but Cheezi was on his own, something that was rarely seen unless it was part of one of Janja's wild schemes to get food from the pridelands.

Today however he was trying to figure out what was on the menu, or what the next plan was to stop the lion guard. He was uncertain for sure what he would even do. Though occasionally he found a random bone and chewed on it, but would keep moving once her figured there was no more to eat off the bone.

Nuka took in a deep breath and and sighed longingly. The Pride Lands was twice as magnificent as their mother had told them, and Nuka for one could still scarcely believe they were allowed to stay there, if only until Kovu's leg healed up. Luckily, Rafiki could only do so much, meaning he and that little furball of a brother he had would have to wait for his limb to heal completely, which could take weeks, perhaps as long as a month. And if the cub had the brains to feign injury even after it was healed, perhaps even a bit longer. Even though the King had seemed rather eager for the two of them to be on their way, Simba was much too noble to send them away as long as Kovu was still hurt. The most amazing thing about the Pride Lands, however, was not the lush terrain, but rather the livable conditions. When it was too warm, there was always the shadow of a tree to which he could retreat, he was overjoyed that he had the Lion Guard's leave to quell his thirst at the water hole whenever he was thirsty, even if he woke up at night, and he had yet to feel the gnaws of hunger since they got there. As long as he ate until full but was not greedy, Nuka could have at least two kills - or - meals, every single day.

The only thing he regretted was that he was not able to hunt for himself. He took great pride in his contributions to the continued survival of his own pride, but for a males to hunt in these parts was so completely out of the ordinary that if he had been seen doing it, he would in all probability be made a laughingstock by every cub, pup and whatever other names people put on kids and preteen animals living in these parts. He had wanted to join the lionesses when they left on the day before, but just as he was about to speak with one of the huntresses about whom to ask for permission, Nuka had spotted Kion looking at him from a distance. While the Leader of the Lion Guard had merely seemed surprised at the prospect upon their first meeting, seeing it with his own eyes must have been too much for the little prince, who looked fit to burst - in the sense that, from where Nuka had been standing, appeared to have a very hard time keeping a straight face. Concerned that the youngling might tell on him to Kovu, who given where they were definitively would have laughed, Nuka had instead tried to - well, he called it small talk, the young lioness had called it "seduce". Regardless, as Nuka rubbed the left side of his face. Still slightly numb...

Shaking his head over the stupidity of some females, he had resolved to spend the day today exploring the Pride Lands instead. After all, Kovu hardly needed him to stay around all the time. His journey of discovery, however, had ironically left,, him to the edge of a massive gorge. He had been here before. As he struggled to remember, an image flashed before his eyes - Scar - King Scar and Nuka had been standing more or less on this very spot, many years ago, staring down onto the dry, cracked ground below, as he told of the demise of Mufasa, trampled to death - bravely dying while rescuing the current King from a herd of wildebeest. Shuddering, Nuka was about to turn his back on the whole tragedy and just wander off, when he, out of the corner of his eye, saw something move down there. Looking around to make sure there were no Pridelanders present to tell on him, he turned on the spot and squinted: It looked like a grey ant from where he stood. Obviously, had it been an actual ant, it wouldn't be grey, and he wouldn't be able to see it. No, no, it was an animal of some sort. And all alone. Nuka licked his lips, and narrowed his eyes with a wheezy giggle as he found a not too steep mountain wall from where he could climb down to "greet" the little thing. Whatever it was - Nuka was willing to bet it was juice and made of flesh!

Perhaps he should've been back at the place where he and Janja, and the rest of them called home and wait for the next idea janja had that would cuase them to be in the outlands again and again. He was perhaps being very stupid as usual by wandering around, though at least there shouldn't be any harm in that could there be?

Though small rocks tumbling down, he looks up to see a lion, or some sort of thing headed towards him, Cheezi stares blankly at the moment as he was uncertain what or who was coming his way.

Nuka scrambled down the mountain wall, wheezing, his beady red ones narrowing as he gritted sharp, gritted teeth into a malicious grin. His claws slid slightly on the rocky terrain, but not so much that he lost footing. He saw the grey little dot grow bigger and bigger, it had four legs - black airs - oh, if this was some kind of jackal, it was the ugliest one he had ever seen - no matter, he was sure it tasted just as good. He saw, however, to his slight confusion that the thing did not make any attempt at escaping. Huh, Nuka figured, it must be frozen with fear. Well - what fun was hunting with no chasing. As Nuka landed on and even lower hill, he filled his lungs and unleashed a lion's roar that echoed across the gorge. A roar which could not be mistaken for anything but a lion's intention of ripping apart the thing right in front of him...

He was uncertain what to even do, he usually got the orders from Janja, but Janja was no where in sight, though the hyena was only minding his own business. Though he still watched until he finally would figure out he was perhaps on the menu, but why? He didn't look that tasty did he?He looked up at the higher hill once the lion would land, and heard the roar. Ah now he understood, sort of. or to the best of his knowledge. But he was scrowny, at best, lack of meat on his bones. But the roar didn't scare him as much as Kion's roar did, but it did still put some sort of fear within him. "I'm too scrowny to eat, you don't wanna eat me." He would first attempt to perhaps try to reason with him.

Cutting himself off in mid-roar, the echoing, vicious-sounding threat of death transpired, ending in what sounded like the rather unmanly meow from an ordinary house cat. Not that Nuka would know anything of such creatures, of course, but that was about how the noise to which his kind-of.mighty roar transcended sounded like. Blinking rather foolishly, Nuka, now close enough to see his intended victim, and frowned discontentedly. He had gotten all worked up over this bony little thing? Squinting, he raised his eyebrows in surprise when he realized what it was he had been almost drooling over. Letting out an annoyed sigh, he descended the rest of the mountain side in silence, landing deftly if not particularly gracefully right next to him. Shooting the tiny little canine before him a look of disgust, he moved closer in order to assert himself as the bigger and therefore more dominant being. Which was not very difficult to do, given how the hyena was not even anywhere near fully grown and looked even slightly smaller than Kion, while Nuka himself was roughly the same size as the King himself, if noticeably less bulky.

"What are you doing around these parts, hyena? Don't you know that the Lion Guard don't like animals like you?"

Cheezi was uncertain what the lion was thinking, was he looking at him like some sort of meal? Or was he looking at him like some sort of snack? Cheezi was not entirely sure, even more so he was not thinking very great either. He listens to the roar again, though to him it did sound interesting, and perhaps less scary than Kion's.

He would then listen to the question, what was he doing out here? "Why should I tell ya you? You might get the lion guard. He was certain of that.

Nuka snorted, in spite of himself somewhat amused by the bravery of the hyena's cheekiness. Still, he was the bigger and stronger of the two, and by those merits, Nuka was not about to let some dumb little pup question the inherent authority that came with being the dominant predator. With the intent of asserting himself even further, he leapt forwards with a menacing snarl, his beady red eyes wide, his sharp teeth barred threateningly. With a wave of his right foreleg, he struck the little thing square in the face with the back of his paw, dust raising from the ground as the hyena was sent tumbling along the cracks of the rocky terrain. Of course, Nuka could have hit much harder. Heck, if he had wanted to, he could even have broken something, but that would be stupid. Hurting another animal that badly with the possibility of the Lion Guard's keenest of sight spotting him from somewhere above? No, this was not a strike to maim or even injure, but more of a smack to the face to teach this little nuisance a lesson about not being afraid of him, as it should be. At least, more afraid than it was. This act of violence was not to hurt, but to prove a point. With yet another bloodthirsty roar, he threw himself after the intruder, and before Cheezi would have been able to pick himself up, Nuka were standing over him, his eyes narrowed dangerously.

"You will tell me because the Lion Guard isn't here," he raised his paw and unsheathed each and every one of his sharp claws as if to make it even plainer than strictly necessary. "But I am, and I'm worse!
